Georgia's Best........Gold Star Campground
Georgia's Best is waiting for you at Roy's Hideaway. In my opinion this is a "Gold Star" campground and one that I would highly recommend. During the Labor Day weekend, my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting this picturesque establishment. The grounds were beautifully manicured and included several ponds inviting campers to enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking and duck watching. The amenities included full hook up with water, sewer, 30-50 amp, picnic tables and an awesome view with every site. There are facilities for all levels of campers from tents to big rigs. Also available for your pleasure are fully furnished cabins and a bunk house which offers many exciting activities/adventures. And don't miss the club house with a big screen tv, full kitchen and recreational area. The pool area is the hub for many activities including a DJ, live performances by muscians, bingo, creative contests and dancing. You will definitely enjoy the sparkling clear/clean heated pool, a well maintained hot tub and very clean bath house with a huge walkin shower room. The poolside cafe has excellent food and an updated menu daily plus a chief with a smile that will have you requesting "more please". At night many campers visit the bon fire area to exchange intellectual conversation and debate world affairs.......yea, right. There is another area in the campground that maybe you would want to visit which is affectionantly referred too as "the barn"....don't miss the area behind "the barn". However, the most outstanding feature of this campground is the owner, his staff and the permanent residents. Southern hospitality is alive and well at Roy's and if you are looking to meet true southern gentleman and ladies ...... THIS IS THE PLACE!!!
July 4th Blowout Celebration......WOW!!!!!!!
My partner and I just visited Lumberjacks for the July 4th celebration....WOW!!! The fireworks were awesome and the party only got better each day. This is a campground that we will visit on a regular bases. Let me begin at the beginning. Upon entering the campground, we stopped at the "store" to register and while there we enjoyed the front porch relaxing in a rocking chair and watching the hummingbirds as they visited the several feeders. Also, we immediately noticed the parklike setting surrounding the campground...ponds, flowers, birds, ducks, peacock and other wildlife.....awesome views. The designated camp sites (rv, cabins and tents) were conveniently located throughout the park and all within walking distance to the pool. While enjoying our days by the pool, we were just steps from a cafe which provided breakfast and lunch not to mention our favorite drinks. Included in the pool area is an active hot tub with many "benefits" as well as a campfire area which is surrounded by fellow campers at night just longing for a glance at the night time scenery/stars. Oh, did I mention "The Lumberyard". Men from the local towns, major cities and surrounding states visit this establishment to enjoy one of the best sound and light systems I have ever seen or heard and the men.......baby oh baby!!! After having a drink, enjoying a show, dancing, visiting the "Tool Shop" and playing pool we went to visit the "sugar shack". The sugar shack is located within a wooded area that is visited by a unique crown of hot men looking to meet other hot men. The quote now is "What happens at Lumberjacks stays at Lumberjacks"!!!
