This park at this time is basically not set up for anything more than people with tents, small RV, Pop Ups or small fifthwheels
The lake is nice and there are lot of nice things about the park, but the main problem is that this park is not really set up for people with RV's or large campers. This park was initially set up as a Roadside Rest and many of the Tent sites still look like their only reason for being there is to picnic. There is a Campground that has Tentpads and a shower and bathhouse, but according to the park ranger it is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, even if you have reservations for that campground other days of the week. The nicest Tent sites at the park do not have electricity and water. They are all recently rebuilt with very nice tent pads. But without water and electricity, what is the point. There are also two more sites on the next road over that have tent pads, but only one has electricity and water. The road to these sites goes down a hill that is very hard to navigate for anyone with a large vehicle. The sites for people with RV's, Pop Ups, Fifth Wheels etc are only made for the smaller vehicles. These sites were built in the 60's when RV's were much smaller.
Now the Cabins and Lodges at this park are Beautiful and look like really nice homes. They are across the lake from the Campground. According to the Park Ranger there are plans to buy a large piece of land by the park for a new RV Campground, but with the current Budget cuts at the State level these plans have been postponed for the time being. There is a beach on the lake and it has a nice bath house and gift shop and snack bar. This park is nice and has potential, but I don't recommend it to anyone with an RV at this time. Even Tent Campers will want to make sure if they attend, that they get there early as some of the tent sites don't match up with many of the others. There is a convenience store right before you enter that has a gas station. That is one plus it does have and the town of Cumberland is close with a few stores and banks. I suggest people take a day drive and check it out themselves before making any reservations. Especially if you intend to do tent camping and be there on days other than Friday & Saturday
