It is said that Camp David is where "older men go to play." There is a great deal of truth in that statement. There are no twinks, no princesses (such as another reviewer on this site); just men enjoying each other's company.
Nestled in a (usually) dry swamp on 14 acres, Camp David is a relaxing getaway experience for men in a campground setting. You can tent, bring in an RV or get space in a small cabin or join others in a bunk house. For the RV crowd there is 50amp electrical service, good tasting water with plenty of pressure and some sites have sewer connections. If you have a large coach (40-45') be sure and discuss this with the friendly desk staff before you arrive as there is limited space.
Overhead branches have been recently trimmed so a 13-foot coach should have no trouble on the Camp David grounds.
However, the last mile over a very bumpy road must be negotiated carefully and it's a good idea to call ahead so that exiting traffic can be held back. You don't want to meet another RV coming out. There is little room for opposing traffic.
Although Camp David caters to gay and bisexual men, all men are welcome.
There is no swimming pool. Hiking around the park on the trails is the usual drill during the day and the restful atmosphere has most guests in bed by 10pm.
The movie room is cleaned daily, trash is picked up from bins near your site often and the crowd is friendly.
My partner and I have been to Camp David a half dozen times over the years and love the place.
