Quiet, well maintained, neat orderly and very friendly. The rate I listed here reflects a 25% discount for RRV members. If not an RRV member but retired military you get 20% discount. We were visiting family in the western end of Phoenix and found this location to be perfect and just "rural" enough, with only a short 15-20 minute commute into Phoenix. It is well located to many retail establishments including a Wal-Mart, restaurants like Denny's, Cracker Barrel, McDonalds, KFC, etc., etc., and Frys, a large supermarket, all these are just to the east about 1 mile. My 50amp hookup cable was too short due to the unique design of my rig so they accommodated me by loaning me a 15' extension cord at no cost. They have a well stocked RV supply area in the lobby and I was able to purchase a cord of my own upon departure. All the employees were extra friendly and helpful. WiFi and cell phones worked fine. The place is CLEAN with a capital "C"......very nice and highly recommended.

Greg Listed this so he is not able to write a review. The owner of this campground sent this email to Greg "Please remove Arizona High Country Campground from your website. We recently purchased the campground on November 1st. Thank You, Susan & Mike." He asked why but no reply thus far. Are they nuts?

This is a very nice rustic park with appropriate amenities and beautiful scenery. Across the street from shopping and very convenient! Will stay here again but will reserve a site at the outer edge of park for more privacy and no traffic noise. You do hear traffic noise if at a site close to office or along major road.

Its not the park I was upset about but who is running it and how its run plus its laced with green arsnic poles which is very unhealthy.

Its a shame, if is was not for the green arsnic poles and managment that came from hell this would be a very nice park. if anyone writes below me to dis my review and glorifys there review its probably the managements friends.

In total agreement with all the negative reviews on here.

very unhappy customer!

PS. the positive review on here above me must be the managements friend, like on all reviews, usually there will be at least a positive review below every one to two negative reviews, like we all cant figure that one out duh!

We pray for our enemies lord help me and forgive me but people need to be warned.

This is a small campground but just the right size for quiet time. It appeared that most of the RVr's were not LGBT except a few but everyone very friendly. We only stayed one night over 4th of July weekend but will definitely go back to escape the desert heat. Wonderful walking paths for dogs!

I aked if they offered a discount to Rainbowrv members was given the 10% AAA rate without needing to show a card (cool)

One problem was that they didnt let us have a fire at our camp site. there was a big community campfire and several families were there, we didnt want to impose but decided to hang out there anyway. Typical RV families and we respected each others space and privacy but I felt the tension from the parents. They dont let you pitch a tent in your site but allowed us to put it up for our friends to sleep then take it down in the morning. great spot, nice staff,

Even with all my power goodies we still fell below 90 volts! The staff was rather rude and the park isn't very well laid-out. Even though the near-by KOA is tight for big rigs... You are better off going here and having a spotter while driving through to you space.

You have been warned.

Kit Carson RV Park: Highly Recommend Kit Carson RV Park in Flagstaff AZ

We have just spent a week at Kit Carson and it was a WONDERFUL experience! The rustic park is in the pines, the site was very neat and clean, and the manager in the office went out of her way to be helpful. She was a very cheerful, friendly and kind person. Our experience there was very positive, and the park is just beautiful!

The negative review was written in 2008. We were just there in April 2010. I think things have REALLY changed there since 2008. New owner/management???

Being FULL TIME RV'ers, we occationally run into problems with sewer/dump station 'problems.' We did not however have any problems at all at Kit Carson.

We also received out 'forwarded' mail from Good Sam mailforwarding service with no problems at all as the mail room at Kit Carson is open 24/7.

We have a 38 foot motorhome, towing a Jeep, so I know the sites will take much longer than the stated 36 feet. We also had 50 amp, not 30 amp service.

If you have a large rig I would recommend a spotter as you navigate to your assigned spot. Tree limbs overhang the roads throughout the park and can easily damage your roof or sidewall. The park is located close to town, but is close to good trailheads.

Tighter then most for larger MoHo's or at least getting to our site was (trees on both sides with very little room for mistakes). Very nice staff and full of info when prompted. Our site was on a corner and near full time residents? Nice people more the willing to answer every stupid tourist question thrown their way. Loved the tawdry adventures of a fellow male camper. He was working the fact he had time to kill before his wife showed up. Entertained us all through cocktail hour. A bonus we would have paid extra for. We'd skip this KOA in favor of other choices in the area next time. To close to neighboring housing developments for our liking.
