We stayed here in early February of 2020. I had made a reservation well in advance after viewing the following video, which I've queued up to the 9:52 mark:
https://youtu.be/GQJxz3MHhAQ?t=592
Alas, Jimmy, who appears in the video, had passed away, and the dream of operating Southern Comfort as an LGBTQ+ campground died with him. The bar and the "playhouse" were both closed down. The pool was not at all inviting, and apparently, nude sunbathing was no longer allowed. The men's room was probably the most rustic and least private that I have ever seen. There was no cable TV (despite what their billboard promised) and over-the-air TV options were minimal. Our fellow campers, however, were unfazed; the campground served its purpose as a thrifty place to stay between "here" and "there". We found it to be a serviceable basecamp for a pleasant day trip to Steinhatchee (which, the locals explained, is pronounced "STEEN-hatchee.")

Given the above, I would recommend removing the listing for Southern Comfort Campground from this forum, as it has nothing special to offer to LGBTQ+ travelers. It's a cheap place to crash between "here" and "there," but there are lots of places fitting that description, and we can't list them ALL on RainbowRV.com! I'm sad for the dream that died but glad to have seen the place for myself and to have satisfied my curiosity.
