Two of the things I love about RainbowRv are the amount of fun, and the number of friends Tim and I have meet over the last five years as members. We often wondered how many more folks we could meet if the website and club facilitated the growing scope. Early this year we purchased the Rainbowrv.com domain and became stewards of the RainbowRv club. Our first order of business was to make improvements to the web site.  I hope you like the result and enjoy your visit. Please comment with your ideas for further improvement.

One other task was to define the structure of the club. Tim and I contacted more than 70 area representatives and club members across the United States and Canada to learn their understanding of the club. Surprisingly most members have similar comments which are reflected in the definitions below. One common theme and desire was to keep the club fun, simple, and colorful. That we promise.

Chapter Clubs

Chapter clubs are regional groups within Rainbowrv. With over 6000 RainbowRv members, smaller groups or Chapters prove to be a great way to maintain the close group family feel and lasting friendships we have all learned to love. It is not necessary to be a member of a chapter to attend their events. Join any or as many chapters as you wish. Membership is a great way to keep up with that groups activity.

Chapter Representative

Every chapter has a volunteer point of contact representative whose objective is to help Event Host’s plan and schedule successful trips. The Chapter Rep has web site access to post events to a regional bulletin board and send event details for main site calendar posting. In areas without an assigned rep Tim and Greg will lend the assistance to members who want to host an event and start their states chapter.

Event Host

An Event Host is also a volunteer position. The position is less formal than a Chapter Rep but ‘so very important’. The event host contact the campground and arrange a schedule for the actual camping event. Few rules exist on where and how to host an event. Requirements are; Everyone is welcome to attend and; No one is required to attend all details to the hosts schedule.

‘Kamp with us’ vs ‘Hosted Event’

Often members post a note to the forum or pass an email message around that they will be at a campground on a particular date. These small groups of two plus rigs, impromptu get together’s are a great way to relax and meet new friends. A ‘Kamp with us’ note is less formal than a hosted event and can be posted directly to the Kamp with us Calendar. The one rule here is that the note contains an email address and name. Phone numbers attached would be great. Members planning to meet up should email those posting the note and request an update if the Kamp posters plans to camp change.
