Only game in town close to San Francisco that has cliff front sites. Many over look the ocean parked straight in with utilities set up right for this wonderful view. Okay so it's parking lot style RVing at it's very finest. Very tight spaces, side-out to slide-out with little to no room to walk in between, great for passing Dijon mustard through an open window (done it before) Spaces 49-51 are the best bet for 40 plus footers cliffside. Pull through spaces are away from cliff view and cost quite a bit less, but what's the point?
Like I stated above... ONLY game in town close by San Francisco with an over the top view. The wildlife cruising just off shore will wow you. Whales use this as a freeway during their migration, dolphins cruise this area everyday (morning and late afternoon) looking for tid-bits to gobble down, as will. This is also a hang gliders delight freeway. Look for their legs just outside your front windows.
The people who visit this RV park have been doing so for years. It is also a popular park for foreign visitors who have just picked up their rental RV destroyers from the SF airport. So make sure you stop by and give them a warm California welcoming. Many will have questions... You will have the answers. Send them home with a warm fuzzy feeling about Americans!
You can have a fire here. Fire rings are few so bringing your own is highly recommended by me. Firewood is near by at the local Safeway. As is any food items you may have left behind.
Restaurants are close by and one of our all time favorites is Nicks rock away beach (south on hwy 1 from park) http://www.nicksrestaurant.net/homepage.html You know the place with wait staff who's been there for eons. Food is consistently consist, thank goodness these place are still on the planet.
You can take BART or even a cab ride into the city if parking here isn't your cup of tea (I'm blessed with cheap on street "bear parking Gods")
Check out this park during the fall months for the very best summer you ever spent in the city ;o)
