Gordo's take on the place:
Funky County Park camping at it's finest. Great for weekend when no-one can seem to get it together (decide) where to go for a quickie gotta fire up da RV for a point n shoot weekend warrior road trip. Grab your dog(make sure they have their tags or you are NOT getting in) and partner or forget them both for some soul searching. This place is great people watching for those who haven't a clue as to pitching a tent in the wind. Getting my drift here. The place is funky and so are most guests. But who cares. It is a fun, albeit windy at times California Delta Camping spot. Rio Vista has some fun redneck bars and by the book cops (you've been warned DON'T drink n drive in this town 30 minute walk to campground beats crowbar hotel stay) as well as, a few yummy comfort food type eateries. BTW the food store in town has a GREAT wine selection and many are marked down cause the owner knows fine wines but the locals don't get it. Bargains for us who do.
Enjoy
