It only took me 30 years to hit this RV park/marina. I have NO idea why it took so long? Great place to hang out and if you own a boat even better. You can even rent one here!
The campsites are close together but what the heck, gives you a good reason to meet new people. Not all sites are big rig friendly. In fact given the amount of shade trees, it's a wonder they get them in, we did ours, as will and 4 other friends in the 40 to 45 range. I stayed in site 351 and these sites are fully (100%) shaded 24/7 during the leaf months. NO lawn area under here (no sun light). Throw out your patio mat to keep the dust down and enjoy. The 2 bigger 45 footers were in the less tree shaded areas. All trees are fruitless mulberry types. I would think in the spring just before the trees leaf out people with allergies might want to skip this place till the pollen season is over (exploding pollen bombs will turn your rig green).
There is a very, very large covered open eating area with small kitchen for rent (so KOA of them, but it quickly became a freebie if I was to have a rally here). The pool is next to this area.
We had a great time and plan on throwing a RRV rally here next summer (the owner wants our business). The owner of the KOA is very Gay friendly so no issues here. If you haven't figured me out yet, I make no bones about being a proud gay man and make sure the park owners know where their money is coming from. Why bother giving our RVing money to park owners who don't get it.
Try this place anytime of year (read above) understanding this is a kids park during the weekends. We had NO problems with them what so ever. ENJOY
