The biggest warning I have for people with pets or kids is KNOW your plants! There is Poison Oak within this park and lets face it, dogs and kids will find it! And then rub you and WooHoo you got a nasty case of the itch!
We like this State park for many different reasons. It has an RV area ONLY where big rigs are able to grab a spot and "back" in. I know it states 31 foot max but this is for the non-hook up camping area. Understand this RV park is close to a main road, but the noise is not bad if one picks a site farther away from it. We like space 66 for many reasons. Close to main bathrooms away from main road (but it does back to the parks entrance pay station) Shade is good and it's away from other RV spaces. Satellite is good in this space for us with latest Direct TV HD auto unit. There is cable outlets but being the State of California they do NOT WORK! Batwings crank ups are not going to help much here either!
The best part, is all the riding paths and hiking trails. Get out and use them, cause they are some of the best the California State Park system has to offer. Folsom Lake itself, is only a short walk away. So if you have any type of boat bring it with ya.
For those who just have to shop. You're in luck. Outlet factory stores are only 6 short miles away (WooHoo).
Get out and go camping for a weekend...
