Old Growth Redwoods
Stands of the most spectacular old growth redwoods in the world are within a few miles of the park. Take a leisurely drive through these historic trees on the nearby Avenue of the Giants. The Headwaters forest is just a few miles from the Park. This untouched old growth redwood grove near Fortuna contains some of the world's most spectacular ancient trees.
The Victorian Village of Ferndale
Ferndale is just 10 minutes from the park. Victorian architecture, quaint shops and old world charm make Ferndale one of the most popular attractions in the area.
The Loleta Cheese Factory
Only about 10 minutes from our park, The Loleta Cheese Factory is family owned and operated. Visitors welcome Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm and Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Large viewing windows and tasting room.
