We are passport America members...so we stayed for 50% off for 6 nights. The park is actually quite nice. It is newer, and is well laid-out. Big rigs? no problem! However...some of the sites are a little narrow, and the hookups are closer to the front. Make sure you have all your extensions with you. Sites are relatively level - we have had worse.

The folks are pretty nice. There is the bar with food. If you are a culinary snob...do not even try the food. Otherwise, it is just edible and plain. But the girls were nice, and the bar was cool.

One thing: The location of the park is crazy. It is in the middle of an industrial zone. The drive in is ugly. When you come off the exit...go slow as the ramp is down from an elevated roadway, and the stop is sudden.

The shuttle only runs 3 times a day to the quarter, so be prepared to drive or take a taxi. There is no shuttle to the garden district, so you are driving it. But, once there, everything is a walk. (go to Magazine Street)
We would stay here again if we had to, but the location killed it. But there are so many other parks we will be looking into first.
