My wife merely went to the office to ask why the quest charges were so high for family members to use the childrens' playground. The owner quickly became belligerent, ultimately while shouting insults at my wife as she retreated from the office. VERY INTIMIDATING! KOA Corporate office opened Case Number 376348 regarding this incident. The Better Business Bureau has lowered it's rating of Lakeside KOA to "C" based on multiple customer complaints. Also, beware of the KOA/Lakeside food services. The Larimer County Health Department rated food safety at Lakeside KOA as "Marginal", and the food kiosk is located atop the campground's former sewage dump station.

Naturally, we wanted to get out of Lakeside KOA as soon as we could. We found nearby Boyd Lake State Park a very suitable alternative. Boyd Lake is in Loveland Colorado, but it is only 5 miles from the south end of Fort Collins.
