City of Chattahoochee Owned RV park and Camp ground.

This once private RV park is now owned by the City of Chattahoochee. It is connected to a City park and Marina on the western edge of Chattahoochee.

There are over 100 camp sites and tent spaces.  In the upper area There are about 25 full hook ups, 6 Cabins, most of which are full time occupied. The lower area is water and elect only, with sites scattered around a large area. The park excepts national groups such as Good Sam, Camp USA and others, with a discount.  If no host on site, a city employee will come around to collect. Fees are daily, weekly, or monthly. Long term is except-able also.  I stayed in a Class A for 6 months as a Snowbird there, the site is GLBT friendly.  Very well maintained, abet old.  The showers are clean but in dire need of updating. The laundry is under the lower side of the Club house.  The club house is available to groups to rent for events in the city and most weekends it is rented out. There are some meetings held in the club house also such as a yoga group and people are welcome to join in the yoga class there. The lower side of the park has a boat ramp and fishing is allowed. In the upper ponds behind the full hook up area there you do not need a license if you are paying to stay in the park. However there is some question on that with the State saying you do need one and the city saying you don't.  So do so at your own risk...I caught a 15 lb cat out of the upper pond and could see some much larger ones in there too. The city is old, and has a rich history. There is one IGA grocery with in 10 blocks of the campground. A "C" store at the top of the hill from the grounds. Several restaurants in the city serving good food. The town of Sneeds is just to the west across the river by 3 miles and has a more modern grocery store with a better selection of foods. The only restaurant in Sneeds was a Mexican food store and the food sucked, not recommended. Camper world is not too far away on the interstate highway to the east should you need any repairs or parts.

All hookup sites are back in on the upper side, some pull through on the lower side but no sewer hookups there. Rates are $18.62 per day including tax.
weekly is $109.50 and monthly is $383.25 Additional discount for natl club membership. NO CREDIT CARDS, but get this, they will take your check.
