In 1944 Emanuel Wacker started a house moving business.  With the help of his sons and cousin, he expanded his business to become the most well-known, and highly sought after, house moving business in the San Francisco Bay area, most noted for its outstanding service, quality of work and professionalism.

In the 1950’s many homes in the santa rosa area were relocated to make room for new sections of Highway 101.  Emanuel and his sons, Earl and Marvin, took great pride in their work and became highly skilled in the art of moving homes.

Emanuel retired in 1963, leaving Earl and Marvin to continue running the business.  Both brothers were determined to keep the level of excellence instilled by their father.  As partners, they not only kept the quality of workmanship, but learned new skills to keep up with the changing technologies. Prior to the 1970’s, all houses were raised by using hand turned jacks, in order to improve on the speed in which they could raise and  relocate homes, they purchased their first modern hydraulic jack system.

In 1996 Wacker and Sons continued to evolve as a family business, this time seeing Earl Wacker retire. Marvin continued to carry on the name until 2002 when his daughter, Stephanie and then son-in-law, Tony, took over the business.

In late 2013 Tony and Gino Medeiros took over full control of the business. Tony has worked for the business since 1983, learning the skills and work ethic that is the cornerstone of the business. Tony and Gino proudly carry on the Wacker tradition of excellence!
