Vallecito Resort, nestled among the majestic ponderosa pines, is a perfect location to spend the cool dry summers of Colorado. Bernice and I first stayed at Vallecito Resort during the summer of 1990 and have enjoyed the beautiful days of summer in the Vallecito Valley every year since.

Fort Collins Lakeside KOA is the perfect destination for a Colorado vacation. They offer large, modern sites with full hookups, 30- and 50-amp service, cable television, and wireless internet. Premium sites put you next to the lake where you can step right out of your RV to do a bit of fishing or go for a stroll along our lakeside path. Their new spa sites provide a mountain view that you can enjoy while relaxing in the hot water. Conference rooms and a pavilion are available for family reunions and group events. Locally owned and operated since 2006, they are situated near the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and offer a variety of camping opportunities for those eager to visit one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Their campground is open all year and surrounds a ten-acre lake with catch-and-release fishing, paddle boats, and a fitness trail. They have a beautiful mini-golf course, swimming pool, bumper boats, a jumping pillow, and a video arcade that are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

 

They are just minutes away from the fantastic cultural attractions, eclectic restaurants, and award-winning micro breweries of Fort Collins. Many of their guests embark upon world-class whitewater rafting on the nearby Cache La Poudre River, or simply enjoy a leisurely drive in the wild and scenic Poudre Canyon. Rocky Mountain National Park is also just over an hour away by car.
