Friendly and welcoming! An amazing atmosphere and all around “good vibe”.
Engaging site to site trailer crawl, pool side, potluck, bingo, campfire, and slings hanging in the barn absolutely a good time. We will definitely make this a place to return again. Thank you all, truly enjoyed our stay.

At the end of a long dusty road is Camp Mars. In my opinion this is not a destination gay resort. The only clothing-optional area is around the pool. The owner is rather adamant about this, at least during daylight hours. At night that rule is more relaxed.
Camp Mars is clean, well maintained and has a nice hiking loop through the woods. The trail starts over a beautifully constructed elevated boardwalk over a wet swamp. It is so well built that you'd think a crew from the National Park Service had dropped by to build it.
Once past the boardwalk you pass into a meadow that whispers secrets of nighttime activity. There is a rusting bathtub on hand. Further along there is a tented area containing a sling. Continuing around you will encounter a play area off to the right with a sling, fuck bench...and other stuff.
Continuing your walk will bring you out to the front of the campground and the office.
I bring up this tour as it wasn't until my third day that I found the play areas.
Water, sewer and electrical service were excellent during my stay. The pool and restrooms were clean.
Roadways are wide and access with a big rig is good. Be sure and discuss the size of your coach with the owner as there are special sites with three-point hookups for big rigs.
As you might expect in a swampy area there are quite a few black snakes around and they are there to hold down the rodent population. They also kill venomous snakes. Just watch where you walk.

My partner and I spend three months a year here from South Texas. Great weekends with entertainment and quite week days.

this campground is not for everyone. it is wayyyyyyyyyyy out in the middle of nowhere. and i do mean nowhere. your not gonna run up the street to the store. its at least a half hour away. it is definitely in the sticks. i myself kinda like that. theres nothing flashy or fancy about this place. they have really weird jacked up rules about how long you can stay and how often you can stay for those of you that like to stay for a while or be a perm resident. i dont know the specifics but you cant live there. you can get on a list to leave your RV there but you cant stay there full time. that kinda sucks. but lots of guys and i mean alot have their rv there and leave them and just come up on the weekends. the place can be clickish. most of the people there come every weekend. but once your in your in. they do get alot of older clientele. they also have alot of hot guys that come there. most that hang out here are going to be your outdoorsy and masculine types with a few girlie fem types. they have a pond that has fish and an alligator in it. they build bon fires at night. you have to bring your own booze they dont offer any there. there are a few hot couples there that if you get into their clicks then they throw private parties at their sites that can be lots of fun. if you are a city dweller and like to get away from it all then this is the place. the events they throw arent always a success but you can have a good time if you keep an open mind. they have a couple rentals that you can rent. they have one really big mobile home has 3br and thats the one i prefer to rent when i go. there again since they only have a couple larger rentals they sell first so you can be screwed if you dont plan far ahead. i could be wrong but i get the feeling that things arent going to change here at all. there is lots of potential if they would expand add several more rental units. but i really dont see that happening. its sad when you see owners get too content. but i still do enjoy this place for what it is.
