Big resort now! I just happened to stay on a Big Event weekend. Pool restaurant big not tub for 20 or more probably nice hiking around the grounds. Man has big plans for even more improvement on top the mountain there. Hard to find. Certain'y agree with the Aug 2011 review that said " This is one of the friendliest, laid-back gay campgrounds we have visited and enjoyed our stay." After 8 yrs still lives up to that statement.

If you like rustic, Ozark Hill Country type camping you will enjoy Cactus Canyon. This is not a RV resort but a wonderful "camp" ground located in a beautiful Ozark Mountain valley. The RV sites have 30/50 amp electric/water/sewer with shade half of the day, depending on which meadow you are parked in, fire pit and some have a picnic table. There are 2 sets of showers, one near the pool and between the 2 RV meadows and one in the electric/water tent camping area. The single washer/dryer is located adjacent to the office. The cafe serves breakfast and dinner and a tiki hut type hot grill is open for lunch. During the summer months the large pool is the center of activity and during the spring and fall the hot tub attracts the biggest crowd. The grounds are huge offering plenty of hiking and exploring the outdoors. CCC is truly clothing optional so be prepared for the majority of the men to be naked. Access for tenters, pop-ups, and travel trailer is no problem but if you have a large 5th-wheel, Class C or Class A be prepared to possibly trim some branches once you leave the main highway adn start down the county road. We always travel with a tree saw - just in case. This is one of the friendliest, laid-back gay campgrounds we have visited and enjoyed our stay.
