Triangle Recreation Camp (TRC) is the Northwest’s Premier recreational campground that is Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer owned and operated.

Established in 1975, TRC sits in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, 21 miles East of Granite Falls, Washington, on the Mountain Loop Highway. With 80 acres, this makes TRC a quick camping and RV-dry getaway from Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland.

Whether you are looking for a quiet retreat to pitch your tent and read a good book, open up your RV and share your open-road stories, or attend a scheduled event and shake your booty, TRC welcomes you.

TRC welcomes RVs

Whether you are pulling a tent trailer or 5th wheel or driving a Class-A motor home or truck and camper, here’s what we offer:

  • No extra fees for your RV (regular camping fees only)
  • Space for Dry-RVs in RV slips in the newly created RV areas
  • Quiet times beginning at 10 p.m  (Generator operation allowed before 10 p.m.)
  • Limited amount of non-potable water
  • Gray-water disposal, and
  • Limited Internet WiFi service - ideal for smart phones and tablets
To help improve your RV experience at TRC, consider the following:

  • Sending an email to TRC, if possible two days in advance, that tells us the size of your RV and your length of stay. The email address is: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Entering the driveway from the west, which is a left-hand turn. The turning radius needed and the driveway slope do not allow for entry from the east.
  • Detaching any towed or towing vehicles and park them in the parking lot.
  • Arriving on Thursday, or early Friday, on event weekends. Our RV and parking spaces fill fast. On non-event weekends and weekdays, there is a greater choice of RV spaces.
  • RV awnings, on event Fridays and Saturdays, may need to be retracted to make space for others.
  • Getting your potable water from the Verlot ranger station, which is 15 minutes west of TRC.
  • There is better satellite reception on the east side of our property.
  • TRC has a ‘calling-card’ style pay phone onsite. These cards are typically available at most food and drug stores.
  • The closest and reliable cellular service is in Granite Falls, which is 30 minutes west of TRC.

Update: If you are planning for a visit in June 2013, or later, check our website regarding the availability of electricity to RVs (no promises, yet).

Great COMPLETELY LGBTQ+ ?️‍? campground. Str8’s allowed only one weekend per summer.) Large number of semi permanent camps, yet plenty of tent sites close to the river. Shared campfire and tables. No showers, running water, or flush toilets. Plenty of well maintained porta potties. This place closes late fall to early spring. Well run organization.

Friendly folks… must be members and registered to attend. They have scheduled party weekends, so check the schedule on the website. https://camptrc.org/
Nudity at the river during warm days

RV camping is a newer addition. You’ll be parked close to other RV’s especially on the weekends. Camp hosts will help you park.

This place is what you make it. You’re sure to make new friends!
