RVers are the Nicest People

RVers are the Nicest People

One thing that Donald and I have noticed is that for the most part, the people we run into in RV parks are some of the nicest people. Of course the Rainbow RV rallies involve some of the nicest people we know, however, when we venture off on our own for either a weekend getaway or holiday week, we have noticed that the people around us are just more relaxed and have a carefree attitude about life. Perhaps it is because of the type of  resorts we go to or is it because by nature, the people who we run into are on vacation and therefore, much more relaxed. We love going for frequent walks and seeing all the different types of RVs and getting to know the park, and almost every single time, we get frequent "hellos", "how are you" or even strike up conversations. Just an observation that I wanted to share to see if any of you have had similar experiences. Anyway, we just signed up for the Temecula Wine Rally in June which is kind of silly because we literally live about 7 miles from the RV park, but again, there is something magical and cathartic when we go on a trip, even if it is in our backyard! Looking forward to reconnecting with existing friends and looking forward to making new friends as well!

Hi Donald, I'm sorry no one has ever posted a comment to this blog because it bears noting. Marlene and I have noticed this to be true as well... folks seem to be nicer when you are out RVing...and very helpful. What we have additionally found is that often folks will easily tell you their stories with little prodding... I think we're all more relaxed "out there" . We have heard some really great tales from folks and often all it takes it a "Where are you from?" to get it started. Of course, we get lots of conversation because our little Casita trailer always draws interested folks of all kinds... and generally we let folks take a look... and then they love to talk. I am always drawn to folks with adorable little dogs like your Molly who I'll bet meets lots of folks. We only recently joined your club on the recommendation of several of our gay women friends from FreeWheelers RV Club and we hope to meet all of you soon.
